CC Young Physical Therapist earns Geriatric Board Certification, further strengthening innovative rehabilitation program

CC Young Senior Living continues to raise the bar for rehabilitation excellence with Physical Therapist Katie Jackson, PT, DPT, GCS, earning her Geriatric Board Certification, a prestigious and rigorous credential that recognizes advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in caring for older adults. The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) coordinates and oversees the specialist certification process.

What most people see as discarded plastic grocery bags and bad for the environment, the CC Young “Happy Hookers” see as an opportunity to repurpose and help others in need. Since 2016, a volunteer group at CC Young has transformed thousands of plastic bags into handmade 6’ x 3’ sleeping mats for people experiencing homelessness across North Texas.
