DALLAS (May 27, 2026)CC Young Senior Living continues to raise the bar for rehabilitation excellence with Physical Therapist Katie Jackson, PT, DPT, GCS, earning her Geriatric Board Certification, a prestigious and rigorous credential that recognizes advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in caring for older adults. The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) coordinates and oversees the specialist certification process.

Jackson, who joined the CC Young Rehabilitation team in 2020, played a pivotal role in developing the community’s state-of-the-art physical therapy Rehabilitation and Aquatics program. Her passion for helping older adults regain strength and independence inspired her to pursue this board certification — a step that deepens CC Young Rehab’s commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care.

“Working at CC Young showed me how impactful it is to bridge the gap between research and real-world application,” said Jackson. “This certification allows me to bring the latest advancements in geriatric physical therapy directly to our patients, helping them recover faster and live fuller lives.”

The certification is a testament to CC Young’s culture of continuous improvement. The organization actively encourages its nurses and therapists to pursue advanced training, stay current with emerging research, and integrate new techniques into daily practice. Jackson leads monthly training sessions and case discussions with the Rehab team to ensure consistent, high-quality care informed by the latest clinical evidence.

Since bringing its rehabilitation program fully in-house in 2019, CC Young, under the direction of Jeremy Morgan, director of Rehabilitation, has become known for its patient-first philosophy and comprehensive approach to recovery and greater outcomes. The program offers a range of services, including Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy, as well as Aquatic therapy in a specialized warm-water, resistance pool designed for low-impact rehabilitation.

“Our goal is to educate and empower our patients,” said Morgan. “When they and their families understand their care plan and feel supported, they are less likely to experience repeat hospitalizations. Everything we do is focused on improving their quality of life.”

Unlike many facilities that outsource therapy, CC Young’s Rehab team are employees of CC Young and operate entirely in-house, ensuring seamless collaboration and personalized care among all levels of care, including Home Healthcare, Private Care, and Hospice.

CC Young Rehab therapies are available to Residents, as outpatient, and in the Dallas community at-large. Patients also benefit from real-world training environments, including a car simulator, sensory garden, and residential-style kitchen and laundry room, allowing them to safely practice everyday living activities before returning home.

With professionals like Katie Jackson leading the way, CC Young continues to set the standard for senior rehabilitation—combining advanced clinical expertise and individualized attention.
