The Point is a 20,000 square foot center of activity for CC Young residents and members of the general public who are 55 and forward. An innovative ‘destination’ facility, it features an art gallery, café, meditation chapel, fitness center, classrooms, an auditorium, a theater, rental spaces, a library and more.
Serving as the hub of our community, The Point & Pavilion in our Central Park is the focal point of activity, fitness, learning, art, music and much more. Its architecture as well as its mix of meeting and event spaces make it a truly special place. The Point & Pavilion acts as a connection between CC Young and the surrounding communities, continuing the commitment we have to serving not only our residents and their families, but everyone.
The Point’s spectacular 20,000-sq.-ft. environment is open to residents and the general public age 55 and forward. Come visit us and discover The Point & Pavilion for yourself!
Membership
While many Point offerings are free to the public, Point Membership is required for access to the equipment room. Membership also affords discounts on various classes and massage therapy sessions. Please note that residents have full access to The Dr. Kenneth Cooper Fitness Center. Non-residents, age 55 and forward, may purchase a Point Membership to use the fitness equipment, to attend supervised gym workouts and more. Point Membership is offered as part of our community outreach philosophy which allows those who don’t live on campus enjoy reasonably priced wellness benefits.

Events
At The Point, there is never a shortage of actives to get involved in. From exercise classes to The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, there is truly something for everyone. To see what’s happening this month, view our LifeStyle Guide or visit The Events Page.
The concept for The Point came from a group of men and women in 1997 who shared a vision to create a space for older adults to thrive in body, mind and spirit. We believe that every person’s spirit and creativity are ageless! We also believe that arts and culture are key requirements for the ageless to thrive.
CC Young is blessed to have two separate art galleries on campus for both residents and families to experience art from multiple sources:
The Point Art Gallery – Open daily, 7am to 9pm
The Aver-Phillips Art Gallery, The Vista – 2nd floor – Open daily, 7am to 10pm
Annual Art Show
“The Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest” is an annual, anchor event for CC Young and the community at large. The contest has grown over the years with 15 to 18 different categories in art, writing, fiber arts and more with up to 200 entries. Each year is more diverse! The two month art show is topped off with a celebration of artist and writers’ accomplishments.
Mark your calendars!
