DALLAS (March 3, 2026) — In celebration of Women’s History Month, CC Young Senior Living will host its annual panel discussion, “She Believed She Could, So She Did,” on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 7 p.m. at The Point, located on the CC Young campus in East Dallas.
For more than a decade, CC Young has presented this signature Women’s History Month event in Dallas, highlighting women whose leadership and life experiences have created meaningful impact across the community.
The 2026 theme, “Detours Welcome: Celebrating Courage & Conviction,” recognizes how unexpected turns often reveal purpose and shape leadership.
Women Leaders Featured on the 2026 Panel
The Dallas Women’s History Month panel at CC Young will feature three accomplished leaders whose work spans education, philanthropy, and international service.
Lynn McBee
President and CEO of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network and City of Dallas Workforce Czar, McBee focuses on strengthening economic mobility by connecting the “forgotten workforce” with career pathways that offer above-living-wage opportunities.
Katina Simmons
A CC Young resident and international missionary, Simmons has spent decades advocating for refugees through work in Africa and Spain. She continues that mission today by supporting refugee communities in Dallas.
Michelle Thomas
South Region Executive for Global Philanthropy at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Thomas oversees more than $20 million in grantmaking initiatives designed to expand economic opportunity across the region.
Conversation on Leadership, Resilience & Purpose
The discussion will be moderated by Jen Griffin, CC Young Vice President of Community Outreach & Engagement. Griffin will guide the panel through a conversation about navigating unexpected challenges, embracing life’s detours, and staying committed to meaningful work.
“These women are extraordinary examples who remind us that leadership is not about having the perfect plan, but living with conviction, courage, resilience, and a commitment to something bigger than yourself,” Griffin said. “We are thrilled to honor these incredible women who have shaped our community and world for the better.”
