DALLAS (Sept. 18, 2025) –In its ongoing commitment to investing in active aging and wellness programming, CC Young Senior Living has hired two dynamic wellness professionals to lead and enhance the wellness journey of its residents. Kori Ware, director of Wellness, and Tammy Slauson, Wellness program manager, bring a wealth of experience, passion, and specialized skills to the needs of CC Young’s Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing residents.
Active aging promotes the vision for all individuals to be fully engaged in life. Regardless of age, socioeconomic status, or health, all seven dimensions of wellness should be accessible: emotional, environmental, intellectual/cognitive, physical, professional/vocational, social and spiritual.
According to Jennifer Griffin, vice president of Community Outreach and Engagement, CC Young is laser-focused on evolving the wellness experience and changing the paradigm for how senior living supports each resident’s body, mind, and spirit.
“To truly promote and support active aging at CC Young, we know our residents want and need programs and services that are tailored to their needs, wants and expectations. To do this, we must have trained and dedicated experts who are passionate about and committed to meeting the needs, expectations, dreams, and desires of those we serve,” says Griffin. “The professional experience Kori and Tammy bring to us is perfect for their roles and creates a dynamic duo dedicated to wellness and enhancing the lives of our residents.”
As Director of Wellness, Ware oversees Independent Living wellness programs with a mission to create active and thriving lifestyles through personal assessments and tailored training programs that emphasize building strength, mobility, and flexibility. She serves as liaison for Independent Living residents and Point Members to provide guidance and support to achieve their individual wellness goals and maintain an active, independent lifestyle.

Her background includes leading fitness centers and wellness initiatives where she developed and evaluated health programs, performed individualized assessments and one-on-one training and motivation, and implemented strategies to increase participation and engagement. Known for her ability to combine clinical knowledge with practical application, Ware has earned certifications in personal training and indoor cycling, and is skilled at designing programs that meet participants where they are, whether their goal is to maintain strength, improve mobility, or explore new fitness opportunities.
“My passion is helping residents see fitness as more than just exercise—it’s about building confidence, discovering joy in movement, and creating balance in all areas of life,” said Ware. “A key factor that drew me to CC Young is our shared vision about wellness and active aging. They are investing in me to take this vision to the next level for our residents and Point Members.”
Slauson is directing wellness programs for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. She has extensive background in movement therapy and senior wellness, leading programs such as Music and Movement, Gentle Exercise, and yoga. She is also experienced in working with cognitive, neurological and physical disabilities. As Wellness Program Manager, Slauson will focus on developing and implementing programs specifically designed to meet the physical and cognitive needs of Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing residents that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing.
