As adults, the pressures of daily life often leave us yearning for a way to unwind, tap back into our inner child, and rediscover the joy of exploration. Think back to a time when your curiosity ran wild, when wonder fueled your every step, and you were fearless in trying new things. Wouldn’t it be amazing to recapture that golden touch?

At CC Young Senior Living, we believe self-care isn’t just about bubble baths and face masks; it’s about embracing whole-person wellness, nurturing the Body, Mind & Spirit. This philosophy perfectly aligns with our annual “Spirit Is Ageless Art & Writing Contest.”

As we strive to ‘Go For The Gold’ in 2024, the Spirit Is Ageless Art & Writing Contest perfectly embodies our commitment to whole-person wellness. Many in our community discover new talents and creative endeavors later in life, and this annual event celebrates those artistic expressions, proving that age is truly just a number.

One of the many blessings of working on this campus is the opportunity to witness the magic firsthand – the excitement on the faces of a resident or Point Member who rediscovers their passion for storytelling, sketching, or painting. Suddenly, they’re not just creating art, they’re building new skills, forging friendships, and experiencing a profound sense of accomplishment and pride. It’s a transformative experience that embodies the true meaning of finding your golden touch.

The Spirit Is Ageless Art & Writing Contest provides a platform for our community to showcase these hidden talents. Whether it’s a resident dusting off their paintbrushes after decades or a Point member finally taking that creative writing class they always dreamed of, the contest celebrates the boundless potential that resides within us all, regardless of age.

So, how can you unlock your own golden touch? Start by prioritizing self-care. Make time for activities that bring you joy, whether it’s reading a book, joining a walking group, or taking an art class. Embrace vulnerability and open yourself to new experiences. Remember, curiosity is a lifelong journey, and it’s never too late to discover a hidden talent or rekindle a forgotten passion.

Ready to rediscover your golden touch? We encourage you to explore the many programs and activities offered at CC Young, or simply take that first step towards a new creative pursuit. You might be surprised at the artistic treasures that lie within.
