In its ongoing mission to promote active aging and wellbeing,
CC Young is pleased to host Dr. Anthony Ryals
as he shares advances in cognitive and developmental
psychology and neuroscience, and insights into the
mind-body-brain relationships that are involved in
healthy memory aging. Guests will learn:
• Ways memory and overall cognitive functioning
may be strengthened and improved through simple
strategies and exercise – both mental and physical
• Evidence-based findings to help dispel myths and stereotypes
associated with memory and aging and learn strategies for memory
and brain health
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Anthony Ryals, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Psychology and lecturer
with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at University of North
Texas and Primary Investigator of the UNT Neurocognitive Laboratory. His
research investigates how executive functioning and subjective awareness
of memory (or lack of awareness) relate to daily living, brain function, and
quality of life in healthy and cognitively impaired populations.
