Michael Nichols joined CC Young as Associate Campus Pastor in 2020 after serving as a pastor in numerous United Methodist churches in the North Texas Annual Conference and a member of the Cabinet of the Conference as Superintendent of the Dallas South District. He served on the Cabinet under Bishop William B. Oden and Bishop Rhymes H. Moncure, Jr. He retired after 50 years of appointive ministry. He has always enjoyed working with senior adults and initiated a monthly communion service in a nursing home in Duncanville.

A Texas native, Mike graduated from East Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. He earned a master’s degree in theology from Perkins School of Theology, SMU.

Mike enjoys reading, listening to choral and instrumental music, and cooking. He and his wife enjoy time with their four children and seven grandchildren who live in Dallas and Chicago and with their two dogs, a Cocker Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever. His favorite vacation spots are Galveston, Texas and Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
