As a food service veteran of over 28 years, Chef Matthew’s first experience in senior living is with Team CC Young beginning in 2022.  He has an extensive background with leadership positions in the food industry including Executive Chef, Food and Beverage Director, Restaurant General Manager, Bar Manager, and Task Force Contractor for 5 star hotels. Matthew has used his culinary skills to participate in the Meals on Wheels program throughout his career. While working in a Houston hotel, Matthew provided meals and lodging for EMS and volunteers in the initial phases of the Hurricane Harvey disaster.

His passion for food branches out into his hobbies! Matthew grows tomatoes, peppers, beans, and other staples. He is an avid bonsai enthusiast and enjoys scenic views on his weekend motorcycle rides.
