Working in the nonprofit sector for over ten years, Valerie has a deep desire to connect with her coworkers to improve the lives of those she serves. Over her thirty-year career, she has combined her passion for numbers with her intuitive technological skills in such roles as accounting software consultant and integration systems design. Valerie welcomes the challenge of implementing innovative solutions in the fast-changing technology landscape. She promotes interactive learning within the workplace through the use of a teaching model for empowering others to learn and retain skills.
Valerie graduated in three years from St. Ambrose University, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Accounting, and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from The University of Texas at Dallas. A Gold Award Girl Scout, Valerie continued into Boy Scouting with her two sons where she received the highest individual recognition a Scouting District can bestow: The District Award of Merit, for noteworthy service to youth both inside and outside Scouting.
