Frequently Asked Questions.

Why should I consider a philanthropic gift to C.C. Young?
At C.C. Young, our vision is of a community and society where all of life is valued. If we are to fulfill our vision, we need financial resources to provide ample opportunities for the aged to continue to discover personal growth and creativity, no matter their limitations. It is only through philanthropy that we are able to open The Point, The Center for Arts & Education, to all seniors in the community.

In today’s society, human needs far outstrip the capabilities of individuals, families and the government; however, through philanthropy we are able to offer benevolent care to those who outlive their financial resources.

What are some of your more pressing financial needs?

Our current kitchen is more than 40 years old and has outlived its life expectancy. A new kitchen will cost approximately $2 million. An endowment has been established for the purpose of funding the continuing operations of The Point in order to operate the facility and grow its programs and staff. We also need to grow our endowment for benevolent care and endowment for other programs. Our endowment goal is $5 million.

How do I/we go about making a gift?

C.C. Young accepts various means of giving both cash and pledges. Checks should be made payable to C.C. Young. If the gift is in memory or honor of someone, please indicate the person’s name and who should be notified.

Naming opportunities are still available at The Point. C.C. Young will take undesignated money to Phase One of our “Spirit is Ageless” Campaign, which funded The Point, and apply it to Phase II for the kitchen project. This will open up a naming opportunity at The Point.

What about planned gifts?

C.C. Young accepts gifts of cash or stock as part of an estate plan as well as testamentary giving or life income arrangements to be realized in the future. Deferred gifts may include bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, life estate contracts, charitable lead trusts, life insurance policies or pooled income funds.

Whom do I/we contact if I/we have questions?
